Throttle linkage for 40E 676BL 412042

I have a 40E with serial number 676BL 412042. The best I can tell this is a 1979 model. The throttle linkage inside the case was disconnected when I got the boat and motor. Can anyone tell me where to find the diagram for the linkage connections and a possible source to get the parts that are missing? And confirm that this is in fact a 1979?

Using the serial number, The model number found (7040522) has your year to be an 1982 while the charts found online for your serial number ends it with 1981. The L = Long Shaft...

Upon further thoughts, do you know if you have the Above Exhaust system or Through Prop Exhaust as there's separate parts listings for each system ?.
