Re: throttle only button

The shifter is a Quicksilver.A single lever a bow up button on top then a trailer and throttle only on the bottom.

Hulk, I think I have one similar to yours. I have never had any problems, consequently I am ignorant of its inner workings. I would make sure it is in neutral when you try to push the button, since it is likely you cannot push it when in gear. If that fails, you will need to dissamble.

Not too helpful, I'm afraid

Like Chris1956 says. I have a new quicksilver installed on mine and if it is not in neutral it wont go in.

Hey 007
Does anyone know about the 2 pins that hold the throttle shaft button. The one pin on the top dosent move in or out,the bottom one slides in and out.I can get the new button past the top pin,it must be jammed.

Re: throttle only button

Hulksterpups
this was and is a common problen. usually due to the pot metal drum gets eaten by the steel lock pin. it takes 3 hours or so to repair and about 125 in parts. I dont even bother with them anymore. a new box is about 300
if you have never opened up one then you need to :) :) it can be frustrating :)
good luck and keep posting
