throttle problem

tfisher here,the 60 horse is 1986 mod # j60elcd i got it
used last summer the guy i got it from had a lot of work
done on it but ,i dont think the carbs have had any.this is my first boat so ,to say i don't know alot about boat motors would be an understatement.

Your thread is titled throttle problem but you don't say what the problem is. You need to ask a question. You just gave us some statements to work with. If you don't know when the carbs were serviced last then I would take them off and take them apart and soak them overnight in a good carb cleaner. Go to your nearest dealer or order carb kits from right here on iboats and replace the parts with them after you have blown all the orafices out with compressed air.

best bet is buy a manual and read it
if u think u can do it, try it out

i agree with both post. a manual is a must if your are going to try to do your own maint.
