Throttle question.

I have an e40elccs motor that I put a different lower on today. I have everything put back together. When checking the control box I noticed that the throttle is extremely hard to push forward. It has no issues in reverse. Could replacing the lower have screwed this up? I opened up the control box and greased the linkage. Any other ideas?

It's shifting into gear fine. The problem is when trying to throttle up. It takes a lot of pressure to move it forward. Enough to where Im concerned it's going to break. Throttling in reverse is nice and easy.

Could be the cable is to tight. Or there is something wrong in the box or a bad cable.

I'm planning on undoing the linkage at the motor to see if it's the controller or something on the engine side. Never was like this before putting lower on. Wanted to make sure I did not screw anything up.

Let us know what you find. I was just going to suggest what you are going to do.
