Just bought a regal 2400 with mercruiser. During test drive trim worked but once i got it home it no longer works from throttle. It will go down but not up from throttle and trailer does not work, goes up and down from stern. Any thoughts?
Or the switch is bad. One quick way to check for chafing problem is to run the throttle/shift lever from WOT Forward gear through N to WOT R (remembering to turn the prop in shifting to R without the engine running so that the clutch dog in the LU lines up with R gear and seats properly) and see if you get trim the whole time. Didn't mention your control but on Commander 2000 and 3000 a couple of screws on the back side of the handle will get that cover off and provide access to Ohm out the switch.
