Hello again,

I do alot of the work on my boat myself, but I never checked the timing myself I always had somebody else do it. Can sombody please give me the proper procedure to set the timing on a thunderbolt IV, I have not set timing on a engine since the 80's. I have a light and all that stuff just need some guidence.
Thank you,
Denny

TB IV is straight forward. Connect timing light, warm up engine, verify correct idle speed, set timing. All the numbers should be on the flame arrester cowling.

Ayuh,...

Clean the timing marks so they be Seen....

Attach the lead to #1 cable, Start the motor,+ Look at the timing marks....
Adjust as necessary...

i always hilight the timing mark on the balancer with white out.... it will help you see things especially on a sunny day.
