Does anybody have a line on a Thunderbolt IV ignition module, part no. 15248T02? Apparently the Merc factory is not shipping new ones. Most dealers don't keep them in stock because of high price. Hoping on has it on the self from prior shipment. Had no problem getting one about 6 years ago. Thanks.

Ayuh,...... Welcome Aboard,....... Compare the price to a Delco Voyager ignition Kit,....

It's a rock solid marine ignition system, that's much cheaper than T-Bolt parts,....

Merc, 'n Volvo are both usin' it now a days,....

Bondo: Thanks. What's the Delco part no. and does Include dome kind of module to deal with distributor advance?
Afraid none of us know what motor you are wanting to install on. Can't answer without that.

When my Thunderbolt IV quit working I didn't even hesitate to go with Delco Voyager EST. There are a couple online stores with really good prices. I bought mine at michigan motorz.

Engine is 1987 7.4L. In going through the Merc diagnostic chart I get to the box that says disconnect white/green wire, insert spark tester in high tension lead from coil and then strike grn/wht wire to ground. I get spark. When I try to reinsert the grn/wht bullet connector back into its socket it makes continuous spark. If I put dist cap back on before inserting the bullet connector and then reinsert I get clicking sound from under the dist cap. Any ideas what's causing this?

Could you explain this a bit more
Is it a constant steady spark or a lot of rapid sparks?

Put a new one in, didn't know that
My thought process is the ignition module opens and closes the circuit. Since a new one was installed and the same thing happened, it could very well be the module. Have not seen one doing what yours is doing. All others are either spark or no spark
