If its on a trailer - take a garden hose and run about six inches of water in hull.

It will not blow away.
And I am from Cape Coral - just waiting for the storm -

Follow up - do not fill hull high enough to
cover starter.

With all the rain coming I would not leave the drain plug in. For wind I would put jack stands under the transom and jack up the trailer tongue jack to lock it in place. Make sure you can jack it enough so there is enough angle on the boat for water to run out the drain.

I am in Tampa. Looks like we are going to get spared the worst now and you in Cape Coral ... ugh!!

I have mine hitched to my car and ratched tied down to the trailer in the front and back.

All's well that ends well... no damage to me or boat or home.
Good thing I lost power before reading the advice about filling the hull with water...... the high winds and rain did that for me, putting 4 inches of water in the hull. If I'd put some in before that the engine would have been drowned.
The power and cable were restored within 36 hours of the storm.......we are blessed.
Skip
