The set I just bought had rubber coated hooks at both ends to attach to the boat and trailer. That said, I never used them as I went with the single strap paddle style again. Feel free to PM me.

I got the boat buckles and all I had to do was drill a hole in the frame for the single bolt install and hook it to the eye in the transom and I don't know why I did not buy them before now. LOVE them. Takes me maybe 20 seconds to tie down the transom now in stead of 5 min. messing with my old strap. I was told that you should keep them cleaned out and spray them good with WD-40 every so often to keep them working good. I guess it's like anything else, maintain them and they should last.

So, does anyone know how they hold up being dunked in saltwater constantly? Will just rinsing them and spraying with WD-40 work as the above poster mentioned in salt water too?

Let us know how you like them if you end up getting them!

I put a set on my trailer last year. They bolted into existing holes no problem.

For saltwater buy the stainless version, rinse at the end of the day and you should be ok.
