I picked a 1974 Johnson 15 hp (its one of the early ones that they did a head switch on apparently, it has a red head) and among other issues the timing on the tiller twist throttle is off by about 90 degrees. It was twisted around when I got it and I goofed with it a bit and got the splines to line up but you can see that the twist grip is quite a bit off from its original position.
This is as far clockwise as it will turn. I did flip it 180 degrees but it just moved the problem to the other side. How do I fix this?
