tilt and trim fluid

what am I to use.I want to drain it all out,when I replace the trim motor. also I dont want to open up a can of worms but...can I bore a small bore v-4 looper 3.50 to the big bore size?

#1. Trim and Tilt fluid....<br />#2. EDIT: you don't want to follow the instructions I just gave on boring...I went back and read you have a looper...What are you wanting to acomplish???

hey wally,its not a crossflow its a looper.so..anyone that KNOWS the answer to my ques,about tilt-n-trim fluid or sm.loopers

Kenny - Your input is always welcome on any of my posts. ------ Tony - - hint-hint. <br /><br />By the way you can bore most outboards 0.040 oversize. Check your specs.

Thank you, SoLittle....<br />Tony, obviously you caught my mistake before I went back and edited it.<br />Chances are your sleeve thickness will not allow boring to the 3.685 size I think you are looking for.<br />As for the Trim and Tilt fluid, that IS what you should put back in it...that's what it's called, name right on the tube, at any marine dealer.<br />If you are looking for another answer as to whether you can replace the fluid with some other type such as tranny fluid or something like that, don't expect an answer other than what I gave you...there is NO replacement.
