well on this motor you have the little motor on the left the ram in the middle and the little reservoir on the right. The res has a little hex head bolt right in the middle of it . I cycles the motor all the way up and down a couple of times and then loosened that bolt and a little bit of air bubbles and fluid came out I then had to use a squirt bolt to get that dextron 3 atf in there it only took less an an ounce and it didn't seem to make much diff, I lubed the rams by the way, is that high pitched moan from a motor that is working too hard to push those rams in?

that unit is self bleeding. it may be the rams are sticking in the caps. happens with saltwater or high mineral content freshwater use.
could be the wear pads on the engine or trim pins are dry/worn.
as the system is self contained and not leaking there really isnt much you can do with it.

Rod I spray lubed the rams, am I doing any further harm to it as it is?
