I have a 90hp johnson I have replaced the trim solenoid, but it still just makes a clicking sound. It wont raise up or down. Please help.

I replaced both solenoids, checked all connections,it works when jumped out directly to the battery, the switch seems to be good. Is there something Im missing.

Just one or both relays? If the relays are good, the trim motor is bad.

first be sure all the connections are clean, you should post the yr,and let us know if you have a 2 or 3 wire system.the older style had 3 wires and often a seperate box.If you can locate where the trim motor wires end,you can try jumping directly from the battery and see if it runs,if its 2 wire the colors are usually blue and green, which ever wire has the positive will dictate which way the motor runs, blue on positive will be up,on the 3 wire systen there is a seperate ground

I checked all the connections they are good when I jumped it out to the battery the trim motor does work up and down, I replaced both of the solenoids so I guess its the switch or is there something else ?
