Tilt and trim problem

2002 125 Mercury tilt and trim is stuck won't go up or down can hear solenoids click but nothing happens

Remove wires from relays and go direct to 12 volts. see what happens.----Has motor sat for a while ?---If so perhaps water got inside the motor.----Some simple testing needs to be done here.

I would think you have a 2 wire motor. If so, you will have relays, not solenoids. Relay box needs heavy ground and power wires to operate PTT motor via relays.. These must be clean and tight.

If a 2 wire motor, put ground on one wire and + on the other wire. Motor should spin if it is good. Reversing power and ground will cause motor to turn in opposite direction.
