93 Johnson 150....
The cap on the trim reservoir is plastic with a slot, seems to be a pretty soft plastic. The slot has worn down from previous owner which makes it a bit fragile when trying to check/add fluid. I've been just using rubber gloves to get it as tight as possible by hand and then turning it slightly with a driver. Questions:
1. How tight should this be..hand tight or more? I'm concerned because it stays below the water line.
2. Is the cap supposed to have an o ring? Again, just want to make sure it is sealed and doesn't get water intrusion in the hydraulics.
Thanks!
