tilt and trim

finally got my lower unit on its pumping water and purring like a kitten.now its time to work on the tilt and trim.what pump and motor do i have there is no nameplate on the unit?its definatley an OE setup on a 1974 merc 850

If it is OE, you will have a trim pump and resvoir mounted in th boat. It will have 4 hoses to the motor's trim cylinders. If you do not have this, you either have the wrong year or do not have PTT.
