So I have a 1974 Tigre with a 165 4.1 inline 6 and the trim won’t go up it goes down fine I’ve tested the blue and green right to the battery the green works but nothing on blue if the motor works one way I would assume it should reverse also ,is it the motor, and can I replace just the motor or do I have to buy the whole assembly also where can I buy this or can I retro fit something newer?

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,... If you replace everything from the pump to the hyd. manifold on the transom housing, yes, you can go with the newest style pump,....

You should have a trim limit switch that keeps the drive from going to high up. If the switch goes bad (opens up) or is mis-adjusted it will not go up. Do you have the single solenoid or two solenoids?

The trim limit switch on the models before 76 were designed to last until the boat was out of the warranty. To replace it was a major PITA.
