Tilt assist cable gone to the dogs

Hello,<br />I have an Evinrude 1992 40hp with tilt assist. The outer cable is bad with the plastic covering chaved away. Using the switch you can see the cable contracting and not lifting the valve-release. Took it of and lifted the valverelease with a screwdriver to get the motor down. Question is....does anyone know the partnumber for the cable? Tiltassist seems to be rare here <br />Thanks<br />Frank

Frank....post your model number. There is a couple different cables for different numbers.

Bump.... also need a tachometerharness to plug in into the sidemounted control (three prongs, halfmoonshaped femaleconnector). Anyone able to help? Thnx Frank
