Tilt cap assembly Part # 0390006 vs O Ring and seal kit part #0434519

These parts fit various year and size motors.The ones I am working on are a 1995 Evinrude 150 EXEOM and a 1995 Evinrude 60 TLERV I have several trim and tilt units I would like to bring back to life.Both are in working condition although both leak from around the tilt rod . Are just the seal, O ring , and scraper seal available seperately.? I would rather not purchase the cap assembly for $ 116 or the O Ring seal kit for 76.. I recall working on another motor recently where the owner provided me with just a seal, O ring , and scraper.

On older units 390006 cap listed with O-ring kit 390007. A quick search says it fits Showa tilt cylinders. When I compare the two styles the cap # is the same The rod and piston part #s are different. I would take it into a hydraulic shop to see if they have any seals, and o-rings they can match up.

I appreciate your reply Yegboats Actually the rods are the same part # 0436390 but the piston part numbers are different.So if the rods are the same the scraper, Oring , and seal? ( is there a seal under the Oring on the cap?) would also be the same.. Then is there not another Oring which goes under the cap between the top of the threaded cylinder below the cap itself? Or is this all part of the seal kit or the O ring kit but not shown ?

Sometimes I think too much and sometimes I just can not think. I guess what I need to know is this.
Does the O ring seal kit contain the parts to rebuild the existing seal cap assembly.

This must have been the older Showa style used before 1991. There is an O-ring kit that is available for that which only includes the scraper seal, and the orings for the tilt cap/pistons. That kit is 390007 "The only similar parts in the two typs of systems are the cap p#.
Unfortunately the later 1992+"fasttrack style" the only O-ring kit that is available is the whole thing. Like you have found for 76.00
That's why I suggested to take it in to a hydraulic shop to see if they have parts that may work. It might be a long shot but who knows.
