Tilt on 76 omc

Hi A little piece of the casting has broke off of the housing that contains my worm gear that raises the drive. Its not completlly gone but probbably 20% of the shoulder or grove that holds the snap ring is missing. Snap ring falls out followed by bushing that holds worm gear, then comes the wormgear, all at bottom of lake now. Is there any fix to housing besides new intermediat housing. Thanks Bob.

I guess that's why the later units had a cover with 3 bolts over that puck.... I can't think of a reliable way to fix it. I suppose reassemble then have someone weld an aluminum disc over it...sealed in for good then though... put a nice brand new shaft in first.
