Tilt problem Merc 60hp 1995

Tilt is frozen. I have started motor and raised and lower tilt every month this winter. This past week Motor started, but tilt is frozen fast. Tilt motor is working. Anyone has advice as to why this accured and or how to remedy.

I am having the same problem with my 1998 75hp Mercury. I tried opening the presure release valve and lifting by hand but it is still stuck.

Let me know if you get and good info and I will do the same.
