TILT Stopped working 150 ocean pro

Went to use my boat today and the tilt was only making clicking sound when I pressed up or down.Both square fuses/selenoids were clicking and getting warm when I tried both switches at the helm and on the shroud.Never happened before.Odd for both selenoids to go together??? Replace them ???? Charlie

BTW the motor is a 1995 150 ocean pro

open the tilt control box and unplug the relays and plug them back in. also check for any corrosion, on the screw terminals.

Thanks for thew reply.Where exactly is the box located??The fuse/selenoids are at the front top of the motor.Charlie

usually on top of the motor between the heads.

I swaped the 2 relays cause someone told me to try that and they both still just click.Any ideas before I call a pro???

sounds like the tilt motor is stalled,
drawing a lot of amps thru the relays and making them hot,
oh and they are not fuses.

You could try releasing the manual release valve, the leg itself might be binding up causing the tilt motor to stall.

You need a manual but its cheaper than a mechanic.
