Tilt Trim Compatibility

I have a 1998 Rude 225 tilt/trim system that leaks. I also have a 1991 200 Rude parts motor. Can I use the T/T system from the older motor for the 98?
If not is re-sealing the system a big deal?

At least for the X model numbers they are compatible. The list includes part numbers 438534, 5005432, 5006421. Yours should be 438534 or one of the superseding part numbers. The 1991 200 X models had #438,397 which has the same superseding numbers plus yours.

Thanks Ezeke! I was wondering..... my online source for Evirude parts does not show the superceded part numbers. What source are you using for these?

Go here: http://shop.evinrude.com/

Then select the parts diagram in the upper right corner and navigate to your specific motor;

Then select the hydraulic PT&T unit;

When the diagram appears, click the number pointing to the part, or select the whole assembly from the list below (usually #0 in the list);

On the line item part number you will see magnifying glass which, if clicked, will list the superseding part numbers.
