I can't seem to be able to loosen the fill screw of my 90hp E90TLCUR tilt/trim
to add fluid. I do have a large flat head screw driver and a wrench that I tried. I don't think it's a good idea to heat it, or can I? Impact tools?
I have about the same motor myself and I'll assume your unscrewing the large screw head near to top of your trim/tilt. I would suggest you spray some penetrating oil first and let it sit for a while. Heating it may not be a good suggestion as it could cause a lockup.
I would try the penitrating fluid, then a manual impact screw driver, it works wonders. I would not beat on it excessively, a good clean hit to the impact should work.
