Need some help understanding how this is going to work. started installing the tilt-trim unit today and am having some trouble understanding this starboard cylinder. the port cylinder has full range of motion while the starboard only moves about 4". i understand that the starboard cylinder is the trim cylinder and doesn't move as much. in these pictures the starboard cylinder is bottomed out.....won't go any lower. i don't understand how this will work on my motor and allow it to go full down unless i move the bracket or something. i'm fairly certain this is the right unit for my motor....it came off an early 70's 85hp evinrude (mine's a 73 evinrude 115hp).
will this unit work? do i have something attached wrong?
