I'm having similar problems with my Bayliner. I bought a 26ft 1992 Bayliner Rendezvous with a Force 120 on it back in November. I can hear the trim motor turning on when I hit the trim button, but saw no movement on the motor. I pulled the fluid cap and noticed it was empty. Topped off the fluid and it started leaking out of the bottom of the trim cylinder housing. I went ahead and ordered all new seals in hopes that would fix the leak. When I went to replace the seals, I noticed 2 of the 5 screws that hold on the cover had the heads broken off. I pulled the piston out and replaced the #2 O ring in the diagram below. I also figured out one of the hydraulic lines was stripped out where it screws into the bottom of the motor pump. I had that tapped out and a new fitting put on, but I am still having problems. Right now the unit will trim up, but not back down. It will tilt with my help, but as soon as it's all the way up and I let go it slowly falls back down. I'm not as much worried about the tilt. I just want to get the trim working. After reading this post, I cycled the motor a few times to purge the air out and I noticed the trim ram stop retracting in while trimming down. It will come out on its own, but will only go back with someone pushing down on the motor. The tilt will still only go up with assistance and falls back down once you let go. The bottom 2 screws that hold on the cover are still broken off in the housing. I wasn't able to get them out. I am wondering if not having all five screws in because of the broken screws are causing this to sit at an angle cause the trim ram to get stuck? It didn't do this 2 weeks ago when I replaced the o ring, but I had the boat out on the water and maybe the pressure caused it to shift??? It also looks like the motor is only trimming up as far as the trim ram will push it out - is this as far as it goes, or should the trim cylinder kick in at this point to give a little more trim? I've been messing with this for the last few weeks and I just can seem to figure this out. My boat sits super low in the front and just plows through water. I've got to figure out some way to get the front end up a bit. Sorry for such a long post. Wanted to give as much info as possible. Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated!!!
