Tilt/trim leak

I replaced my trim motor 435548 on my 1997 Evinrude and used it twice to find the fluid dry. I had issues when I first installed the new motor of a small leak when the trim went to either extreme and the pressure would rise, a small leak would show up at the motor to pump flange. Then after two short outings the motor would run very slow if at all. Found fluid had bypassed the shaft seal and would bubble out the black and green power wires. Has anyone seen this before? Was almost like the shaft seal would not hold up to the pressure.

Re: Tilt/trim leak from electric motor

Sorry 1997 90 evinrude E90TSLEUA, hydraulic fluid coming from electric motor wires. I belive it must be leaking past the shaft seal? This is a new trim motor.
