Hey everyone another question about this tx17 tracker that i am putting together. It has an 1987 mariner 50hp and after about 45 mins. the motor will leak half way down after having it tilted all the way up or in any position. I have not yet put the boat in the water been trying to get everything in good working order. the tilt and trim go's up and down fast and smooth and no signs of any oil leaking from the unit. Any ideas and could this be pricey to fix I don't think I have the knowledge to tackel this if it's to deep.

Re: tilt/trim leaking

thanks for the input is this valve located on the bottom right side of the tilt trim motor because if it is i remember fooling with this before and found it screw half way out and put it back were it was so this could be my slow leak if so

Re: tilt/trim leaking

ok i checked the the valve on the lower right side and it was tight i unscrewed it some and the motor started to come down and i screwed it out for enough to were fluid came out and noticed it was red. i thought that this 1987 mariner 50hp took 30w motor oil. can i just taake the screw all the way out to drain and fill back up with 30w motor oil.
