tilt/trim motor for 85 hp 85ESL74B Johnson

I'm trying to locate the right replacement tilt/trim motor
for my 85 hp Johnson outboard
I can't find a number on the tilt/trim motor it'self
but I did locate the model and serial number
off the transom motor mount

model # 85ESL74B
serial# J4079529

does anyone have a similar model that could tell me what tilt/trim motor I need?

I was thinking about trying to find a tilt/trim unit to add to my '73. They proved too expensive for me though. They go for a ton of money on eBay. However, I saw one one time that had a newer aftermarket replacement motor on it and I saved the part number in case I ever found a complete unit and it needed a new motor. The part number is PT-113N which I believe is for a Calco replacement motor. Hope this helps you! If you Google that number a bunch of sites come up that sell it. And if your outboard ever dies hang on to that tilt and trim! Damn thing's worth a ton of money!

The unit you have in your first pictures is a prestolite part #172655.

thanks alot guys....really helped..your right ezeke I'm pretty sure it is the PT 114R because it has four screws on the bottom and the PT-113N has five screws...mine only has four...I'm going to measure the diameter just to make sure...I think I'm also gonna order the repair kit they sell...I might be able to repair the older one and have a back-up...this place is great...thanks again for your help!

Im new at this but i recently purchased a boat with the same 85 horse motor. I would like to install a tilt/ trim can anyone tell me wher i could get one including everything i need. Thank you.
