tilt/trim problem

Hi guys, i tried my tilt and trim on my 115 merc today, I was able to lower ir just fine but when I tried to lift to original position it would only raise about 8inches then quit. I could put it back down and lift it again to the same level but not any higher again?

Without seeing what buttons you have , I can say on some older units you had to push 2 buttons to raise it all the way.----Pictures will help.
