Tilt/trim switch on throttle

Not too hard. On the back side of the control box there is a screw holding the control handle on. Remove the screw and with a 1/8" drift punch knock the handle out. Replacement of the switch should be obvious from there.

Tilt/trim switch on throttle

I have an older 79 VIP with a 85hp 79 johnson. The Tilt/Trim switch that is on the throttle does not work. The trim switch close to the Motor works fine. How much trouble is it to replace the switch on the Throttle? I was just wondering before I dig in?

Ensure its not a wiring problem before you dig into the switch.
