tilt/trim walkthrough for a noob

I've rebuilt a 135 merc blackmax that came with the tilt trim setup built into transom bar, unfortunately I'm lost when it comes to what I'm missing. There are two hydraulic lines coming up from below the motor where the tilt bar and what looks like a motor are. The lines are metal with a cupped end facing the front of the boat. I am not sure which is the resorvoir or the motor and which part it is that I need to complete the setup.. When I manually lift the motor fluid (hydraulic I assume) shoots out of these lines. ANY help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance, Sean.

Re: tilt/trim walkthrough for a noob

The year of the motor (V6 or IL6) and a picture would help. Early OEM PTT units had 4 hydraulic lines. Later OEM Units had none.

is your PTT unit OEM or some aftermarket kit?

That PTT unit doesn't have any hydraulic lines. It has a power cable to the PTT motor, but that is all. I guess a picture of your actual motor would be inorder.
