tilt/trim

hello, I have a question that i'm not sure of, I had a power tilt / trim put on my motor, do I still need to use the pin that goes through those bunch of holes to tilt the motor up, I have it in the bottom hole right now. I am wondering this because it seems like my motor can tuck way down under the water. I hope I am making sence with this question

I would set the pin so the motor is level while standing still. Try it up one hole at a time and see how it works. Mine is one hole up and works best there.

My Merc 115 came with NO pin. It's all done with the tilt/trim.
