Re: tilt won't go up

When you try to raise it does it draw anything from your battery on your amp gauge? You said there was no noise, I know. Is there any indication that the up switch is working? Could be as simple as a short or a break.

Next take a long wire with aligator clips on each end and direct wire to the trim noid. If that doesn't work take the switch end of the wire and touch {briefly] to the battery. If you here a noise you've got a bad line. Run a dedicated line from trim to switch and you've got a cheap solution. Coarse if the switch you know what to do.If none of this works, come back on and tell us.

I keep this aligator line on my boat at all times.A volt meter may find the problem but it won't temp fix it.

Check the trim limit switch. It may be improperly adjusted or not makeing contact because of dirty or worn contacts.

If you can raise the outdrive with the trailer button then the wire to your trim limit switch is probably corroded or broken. I have the same problem and I just live with it because from what I understand, it's a real pain to replace.
