So I took my boat out for its 2nd run, and everything still seems to be running smoothly.

(1955 Evinrude Fleetwin Aquasonic 7.5 / 1952 16' Alumacraft)

Beached my boat to drop the kids off.

As I tilted the motor "up" into the horizontal position as to avoid dragging the prop in the sand, I notice a considerable drip of that red fuel color.

As it got a little heavier, I decided to put the motor back down in the normal operating position.

And that is when it just dumped... it wasnt an ounce or two, it was like a half cup of fuel... right into the aqueduct transom well, and right out into the lake... scared the crap out of me and I backed out of there as quickly as I could.

I felt like a dummy because I am spilling this fuel right where everyone is playing.

I have been reading all morning and cannot find whether or not that is normal for fuel to spill out of the bowl and collect like that.

I see some say "yeah" some fuel is normal, and others saying I could have a major issue with a carb seal...

Can anyone confirm what I need to do here? Just never lift the motor like that?
Get someone to look at the motor again?
