Next milestone is the Winter Solstice - our shortest day because from that point on we are gearing up for the new Boating Season!! :D

Now that's the positive attitude we need :D

When they start to beep.

Yep. And if you use good batteries, you won't be changing every year.

I used to used the cheap ones which sometimes wouldn't even make it a year, so I switched to Duracells and now get about 5 years out of them. I found a 10 year lithium battery labelled for smoke alarms about 3 years ago and put one in the smoke alarm that's about 14 feet up. We'll see how that goes.

The time change is nothing more than a way to sell BBQ's. Why do I say this? Why else does the goverment track how many more bbgs are sold due to DLT.

Hmmmm... Maybe we need to bury some old rotten boats in the ground, with the bow sticking out, and call it "BoatHenge". When the rotted tinny and rotted glasser are in perfect alignment with the sun, it's time to summerize for the upcoming boat season. :D

Is it OK if we turn the clocks back 2 hours to get a bit more sleep? :)
I don't have a problem with it ...

I 'member as a kid my Dad breaking my balls for somethin'r another. He was halfway through tearin me a new one when he stopped to light his (tobacco) pipe. Right under one of our new smoke alarms ...

Set my alarm clock back, and forgot it does that automatically. Only ten minutes late for work.
