Finish the carbs, and do a link and synch and see how it runs. When cleaning the carbs, pay particular attention to all of the jets and tiny passages. I use wire (soft copper) to run through the jets to make sure the passages are clean.

Did you pull the head to see if you have a bad head gasket? I'd want to have a look at that low compression middle cylinder in case a ring is in the process of breaking up or if you find that the aluminum piston is delaminating onto the cylinder walls. You may not want to continue to run it based on what you see.

I haven't pulled the head yet. I'm sure I will before it sees anymore water. Going through the plug hole I was able to see how free the pistons were in the cylinders and all seemed to be alright. None were too tight or loose. Oh and the temp on each cylinder felt the same as well.
