Ok, I have an 2003 90 hp yamaha 2 stroke. Motor has been great and been through hell. 90% saltwater running.. but lately has only been in fresh. I took it out this weekend and it ran well. but not as smooth as normal. A little slower out of the hole and idles a little rough. I did put different oil, that i have never tried in in this time but, I believe its time for a tune up. I have replaced the plugs a couple years back along with the lower unit oil. i went to change the lower unit oil the other day and when a little drained out, it was still very new looking oil, so i left it in there. I am sure the water pump need to be replaced. or at least the impeller. I did notice that the water coming out of the engine was a bit hot... was it hotter than normal??? I havnt really noticed the temp before. Do yall have anyother susgestion on what to replace while doing this maintance. Should I get the shop manuel or the tune up and repair one. There appears to be multiple manuels for the same engines. Which one do I need, which one has instructions?

Thanks,,

Will

You might want to check the thermostats.Get the shop service manual.Don't waste time and money with Seloc or Clymers manuals. To get the right manual you need the model number. This is found on the port side mounting bracket.
