Time to change thermostats?

Hi
Late last fall I bought a 1995 Johnson 115 hp (model L115GLEOS) . I am going to change out the impeller this winter and was wondering if I should replace the thermostats also. I am unsure how often a person should do this.It was not running hot last fall I just want to make sure I am doing whatever maintenance is prudent.

If it was my mtr I'd do the water pump this winter and then take it out in the spring and run it. If no probs, you saved some $$$$.
