Just stopped in to wish all my fellow Iboaters a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year.
I fly off to Arkansas tomorrow to spend time with the Daughter and grand children.
Stay safe everyone.

Re: Timid but determined Glasstream restoration

OK Folks,
I found this thread floating back in the past and thought I would bring it back and give you a quick update.
I am currently still stuck in not so sunny SC. MY plant is closing and our VP of operation decided that I needed to help him in the new plant so I'm still not home.:(
However I have been offered a job an hour from my house that would put me home in a couple weeks and then home every night. Now come the hard part, Choices.
Well I hope you are all doing well.

Hello Bob,
Glad to see you have at least returned to visit our humble little forum, even if not to tell us you have been quietly finishing your 'Stream and are almost ready to splash it...

All kidding aside, Hope all is well and that whatever decision you make, be the right one in the long run...Prayers and Blessings

Thanks Gus,
It is never easy to change jobs but I am really starting to hate this hotel.

Well Bob, hopefully you will be home soon to enjoy your own house for awhile and get some work on your boat done. you know, i would be willing to help you out with that 8x to help you from distracting yourself from the boat work.

Re: Timid but determined Glasstream restoration

Thanks rrumba,
I can't wait to get home and get back to the boat.
Sorry but I don't think the 8X is going to distract me to much.
I'm not to far from GA right now in SC.
Take care

again this is where my collapsible boat project in a suitcase would come in handy.....I can see the maids wondering what the itchy white powder everywhere is. :D

Thanks Arch and PM.
I spend to much time at work these days to even think about working on anything. It's really been crazy.
Again thanks
Take care

Re: Timid but determined Glasstream restoration

Hey mrdjflores and the rest of the group,
I started the new job in Louisville 3 weeks ago and I'm now home every night and the weekends but still no work on the boat yet. I have to many honey doo's and some other projects to finish before I can start on the boat again. It;s still to cold outside to get serious yet and I need to get my work area staightened out too. I have managed to work in my shop to finish other projects that have been on hold too. I hope the weather will improve soon and I can get back on the boat. I may have my wife talked into a new shop too, so I may have a new project to finish soon too. LOL
I hope to have some boat updates to all of you soon.

It's nice to be home too.

Later all

Bob

Hey mrd,
I know where the R&D place is that would be cool.
I'm out on the east side of Louisville at a new plant to supply parts to LAP. I really didn't like it much for the first couple weeks but I'm starting to settle in, but still not sure I like it. A really different group of people. Time will tell.
Glad your back to work too. Perhaps we can hool up later when it warms up.

Take care.
Bob
