Okay, rebuilt 3.0L installed in boat, everything hooked up, engine runs great - except that it won't time properly according to the light. Mercruiser ServMan procedure followed to the letter (EST module jumpered, shift interrupt switch bypassed, etc.) and I'm seeing the timing mark advaned as far as 24* at idle. Any takers? (Don? Bondo?, God on High? 8))

Danger Will Robinson, Danger Danger, that serial number is for a 7.4L with a Bravo I drive.

If you followed the procedures and didn't miss something or do it wrong, then you need a new ignition module. It's really not that uncommon of a problem. Would just hate to send you after one if you had something hooked up wrong.
