timing a 1990 454 the correct way help

i order a set off wires not getting it antil mid week , i could not wait to test run the boat so i bought a single wire from autozone just to test run it. so far no more vibation, boat cruise smooth with a lot off power than before. what a diffrent with the engine firing on all eight. will post aafter a full tune up.

late update, i want to say thanks to everyone who help me solve this poblem, the poblem was bad spark plug wires, about two cylinders was not firing .

new set of wires new cap rotor did the trick. from 4000 rpm max to 4500 pm . what a big diffrent. thanks yall god bless.
