Hi all, just a quick question for clarification, the other day I had to adjust my throttle linkage as it wasn't getting the butterflies to open to horizontal. Do I need to check or re do the timing now?
I use a voltmeter and adjust till have go from 12 volt to 0 volt and I am able to adjust to 0 volt with belt with the flywheel set at 32 and with the throttle at WOT

Re: Timing adjustment needed

While timing and carbs are synchronized and timing advances as carbs open, the adjustments are separate. SO: Adjusting carb butterflies to open fully at WOT will have no effect on timing.

Gee I am glad your back, missed me old mate from America. Thanks, hopefully after fixing tilt and trim, changing my prop to 21" s/s instead of my 23" ally, moving the motor up higher to inch above keel, hopefully if my back and neck hold out, I could soon take the old girl out for another testy. This thing lights up like a christmas tree at night now with all my cheap chinese leds light strips, which are waterproof and siliconed in. Hey who said you could go on holidays anyway :p.
