timing and points

75 johnson 2hp seahorse): Where could I find the special timing fixture #376969 ? I'm changing my points. Or do I need it ? I always thought you just find the highest point on the cam and set the points to .020
I'm using a last word indicator to find the high point on the cam and also on the points themselves, the indicator reads in .001 of an inch. Do I set the points at the highest point on the cam ? or do I set them just as the points begin to open ?

You set the gap at the highest point on the cam.

Remember points must be scrupulously clean.
