Timing chain cover gasket removal

I am reassembling my motor and I can not get the old gasket to pop out of the timing chain cover. Any tips please I was not going to take it apart and just reuse it cause it looked ok but decided to cause the gasket kit came with one no i have beat it up trying to get it out.

A scraper.... a straight razor blade.... a sharp chisel.... all kinds of things you can use.

With some heat from the torch it came out good. Really rusted good!!!!

Ps it is a 1990 4.3 omc
