Hello everyone,
My "mechanic" screwed me over so I am doing my first repower on an old 1979 Classic Boats Falchion. I have a reman mercruiser 260 long block (casting 3970010,non center bolt heads)that I'm trying to button up and wanted to clear up some conflicting info to try and save some cash.
Is possible to use and automotive Timing cover and balancer? One source said I wouldn't be able to get the timing right if I did. Also, if the mechanical fuel pump on the list of "must be marine" parts?
Thanks for any input!
