Timing Help Needed PLEASE

Hi,

I have a 94 Force 120; I've had to replace the Trigger Assembly, got it running but not sure how to figure out the timing or what kind of timing light? The Timing Adjustment was moved so I'm not sure where the timing is. Where do I start; step by step instructions would be grateful?

Thanks!!!

Re: Timing Help Needed PLEASE

First you need to buy a Clymer Force Outboard Shop Manual. Next buy a non advance timing light and an inductive tachometer.

When you have read the book, come back and ask your questions. Our explanations will be more meaningful then.

So a Sears Craftsman Inductive Timing Light will be alright?? I did purchase a Manual in CD form and have been reading up on it. Thanks Again!

Re: Timing Help Needed PLEASE

The basic sears timing light is perfect for the job. Buying an advance type would be a waste of money as you can't use the advance function.

I'm sorry to say but most of those pirated CD's do not have the detail that the Clymer manuals do.
