What do I set my timing on my boat below?
Seloc manual says 13 BTDC.
An OMC mechanic (good one) who worked on my boat a few years back said to set at 7 BTDC. I also read that the fuel today has alchohol in it and that is the reason you set at around 8 BTDC
Clymer manual also makes mention of this drastic difference in settings- this manual says set at 7 BTDC.
