timing setting

Do all mercruiser 5.7 sbc have the same idle timing setting of 10 degrees btdc? it is a thunderbolt 5 ignition

If my mechanic is setting it at 10, could that cause sluggish starting?

the engine cover says 10 btdc but the engine cover was replace by the previous owner that's why I think they are setting it at 10
The serial is 0f881527

My TB V says 10 degrees. Don't forget to ground the purple & white wire before you start the motor. Set the timing when it's warmed up and the idle is 725. Then turn off the engine before removing the ground.
