I've seen a few over my lifetime... go=carts of the boating world. They look like miniture speed boats.. Does anyone know the name of these things, who makes them, where a guy can browse pics of these things. I want one in the worst way. I hate jet ski's but these mini boats are the bee's knees. What size motors do they put on them? Anyone? Any info?

nope these boats are about 4' to 5' long with small outboards on them... only enough room for 1 person... out of the water they are no more than 3 or 4 feet wide and maybe 2.5 feet deep. Like the size of a medium gocart cept they are boats. I saw someone on here with a wooden 10 footer that looked awesome. I just want something small enough to fit in the back of a pickup and maybe 2 seats tops. My wife is small :D I saw one at the lake the other day wish I had gotten a picture of it. looked like a closed bow tiny lil thing... just big enough to climb in and have your feet touch the bow and be sitting about midship. very cool.

My neighbor had a small 2 seater v bottom. I never knew who made it though, but he did trade it in on a seadoo 2 seater boat, which is small to me.

lol that would seriously hurt the wallet and my body as I flipped over and sank straight for the bottom of the lake. I was thinking more conservatively like 25 to 30 horse on a 8 to 10' 1 or 2 person boat. Something to easily launch and recover for an hour in the afternoon with a small car or truck. And enough speed to cover some lake area. 30 to 35 mph is great.

Re: Tiny Boats

My friend home made a couple little wooden 1 seat hydroplanes that are like 5 feet long, 3 feet wide and a half foot deep. He put 15hp Johnson's on them and they go pretty damn fast.
